Agency nurses’ pay is more often than not higher than staff nurses in the same positions. Agency nurses do not have to deal with as much of the hospital politics or some of the minimum hour and holiday requirements as staff nurses. But if you let these become your main motivation to be an agency RN and forget the real reason you became a nurse in the first place, which is caring for people in the communities you serve, you may come to resent not only agency nursing, but your nursing career in general.
